mTw have become the second team through to the semi finals at the IEM5 World Championship after coming out on top of Group A. Prior to the last round, mTw and Frag eXecutors knew that, despite the outcome of their matches, they would finish in first and second place in the group, respectively, so it was with little surprise that they looked indifferent to what was going on. Coming off four victories, mTw suffered a 16-3 defeat to compLexity, a result which earns the Brazilian side a place in the relegation stage. As for Fx, the Polish side beat UMX 16-12 on de_inferno, becoming level on points with mTw, but they still finished behind the Danish team in the group after losing to them earlier in the day. With coL already through, the match between TCM-Gaming and Moscow Five was a mere formality, but the former Meet Your Makers team still pushed it to win the match 16-10 and finish the group in fourth place. This said, mTw are through to the semi finals, together with SK Gaming, two teams who will be waiting for the outcome of the relegation matches which will set Frag eXecutors against fnatic and Na´Vi against compLexity. |
